Hot meals and a warm welcome every week in Bradford.

The mobile kitchen began in Bradford in 2012 and has distributed more than 200,000 meals across its history.

Current status: only the Bradford site is currently operating. The session is held at Pakistani Community Centre, 24 Rebecca Street, Bradford, BD1 2RY.

What happens at a session

Food, drinks and human contact

Volunteers serve cooked meals, hot drinks and simple extras such as biscuits, cake and fruit. The aim is to support people facing poverty or homelessness with consistency and care.

The Bradford session runs every Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm. Food serving usually starts from 6.30pm. Volunteers should arrive prepared to follow the session lead and support guests respectfully.

Volunteer notes

  • All regular food serving sessions are for volunteers aged 18 or over.
  • Under 18s may attend only as a one-off experience with an adult and approved disclaimer.
  • Guest volunteers can attend up to two sessions before completing the full application and induction.
